The Product Care Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of existing products, ensuring continuous improvement in quality, performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The role acts as the focal point for product-related issues after launch, coordinating with R&D, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Projects teams to drive product enhancements, resolve technical concerns, and maintain product competitiveness in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Product Performance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor product performance and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
Lead product enhancement initiatives to improve quality, functionality, durability, and cost efficiency.
Analyze product-related complaints, defects, and field issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring product issues and ensure sustainable solutions are implemented.
Support value engineering and cost optimization projects without compromising product quality.
Product Lifecycle Management
Manage existing product portfolios throughout their lifecycle.
Coordinate product modifications, upgrades, and engineering changes.
Ensure product specifications, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation remain updated and controlled.
Support product standardization and localization initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Projects teams to ensure product requirements are met.
Act as the technical focal point for product-related inquiries and escalations.
Coordinate testing and validation activities for product improvements and design changes.
Customer & Market Support
Review customer complaints and warranty claims to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Support Sales and Marketing teams with technical product information and competitive analysis.
Participate in customer visits when technical support is required.
Monitor competitor products and market developments to identify enhancement opportunities.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure products comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Maintain product records, technical files, engineering changes, and revision history.
Support internal and external audits related to product compliance and quality.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in Product Development, Product Management, R&D, Quality, or Manufacturing.
Experience in industrial manufacturing is a must.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM).
Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
Familiarity with product testing and validation processes.
Knowledge of value engineering and cost reduction techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with ERP and PLM systems is an advantage.
